Privacy Policy
Seamless — Full Page Screenshot (Chrome extension)
Effective date: 1 October 2026
Last updated: 1 October 2026
The short version
- Your screenshots are never uploaded. They stay on your own computer.
- There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no profiling.
- No account is needed to use the free features.
- If you buy Premium, your card details are handled by the payment provider and never reach the extension.
- Nothing is ever sold or shared with anyone for their own purposes.
Who this applies to
This policy covers the browser extension Seamless — Full Page Screenshot, published by BoMoSi. It explains what the extension does with information on your device, and the small number of cases in which it contacts a server.
It does not cover the websites you visit and capture. Those have their own policies.
What the extension does not collect
Seamless does not collect, transmit, store remotely, or have any access to:
- Your screenshots, or any image data from them
- The content of pages you visit or capture
- The addresses of pages you visit or capture
- Your browsing history, bookmarks, cookies or form data
- Your name, location, contacts, or any government or financial identifier
- Keystrokes, clicks, or how you use the extension
There is no analytics service, no crash-reporting service, no advertising network and no tracking of any kind built into this extension.
What is stored on your device
Everything the extension produces stays in storage that belongs to the extension, on your own computer. Web pages cannot read it, and neither can other extensions.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Captured images | So you can view, annotate and export them later |
| Annotations | Kept separately from the image so a capture stays re-editable |
| Capture details — page title, address, size, date | So the list of your captures is searchable and sortable |
| Your settings | Default format, quality, retention and similar preferences |
| Your chosen scrolling panel per website | So you do not have to pick it again on the same site |
| Premium status, if you have bought it | Your email address, a device credential and an expiry date, so the extension can tell it is active |
Because this data lives in browser storage, clearing your browsing data will delete your captures. Export anything you want to keep.
When the extension contacts a server
There are exactly two, and neither one ever includes a screenshot, a page address, or any page content.
1. Premium purchase and verification
Only if you choose to buy or restore Premium. The extension communicates with
pay.bomosi.com, the BoMoPay payment service, which uses Stripe to
process payments.
Depending on the step, the following is sent:
- Your email address — to identify your subscription and send a one-time code
- A one-time code you received by email, to confirm the address is yours
- An installation identifier generated at random on your device. It is not derived from you, your hardware or your browser profile, and it is not shared with anyone else
-
A device label such as
Chrome on macOS— the operating system family only, so you can recognise your own devices - A device credential issued after activation, so the extension can re-check that the subscription is still valid
- The product code and plan you are buying
Card details are never handled by the extension. Checkout opens as a normal web page on the payment provider's own site. Your card number, expiry and security code are entered there and are never seen by, passed through, or stored by Seamless.
Once a subscription has been verified, the extension re-checks it roughly twice a day at most. If the server cannot be reached, a previously verified subscription keeps working for several days rather than failing.
2. Our other apps
When you open the Captures page, the extension may request a short list of other apps we
publish, from serv.aadhisoft.com. That request contains only:
- The extension's own package identifier
- Its version number
- A device type, which is the word for the platform family
It contains no identifier for you — no email, no installation id, no cookie and no account. The reply is cached so the request is not repeated often, and if it fails the page simply shows nothing.
How you can check all of this
Claims like these are easy to make, so the extension is built so you do not have to take them on trust:
-
The extension's
manifest.jsonlists a content security policy that permits outbound connections to those two hosts and nothing else. That restriction is enforced by Chrome, not by us. You can read it yourself in the installed extension's folder. - The parts of the extension that touch your pages and your images — the page script, the background worker and the image encoder — contain no network code at all. The build fails if any of them so much as references a network function.
Permissions, and why each is needed
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
activeTab | Read the page you are on, only at the moment you ask for a capture |
scripting | Measure and scroll that page so it can be captured in full |
storage | Remember your settings and, if you have it, your Premium status |
unlimitedStorage | Keep your captures, which are large, without an arbitrary cap |
offscreen | Join and encode the image, which needs a drawing surface |
alarms | Run the daily tidy-up of old captures |
contextMenus | Add the right-click capture options |
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
downloads | Only if you turn on saving straight to your downloads folder |
webNavigation and site access | Only when a page contains embedded frames that cannot otherwise be captured |
file:///* | Only if you choose to allow capturing local files, which you enable yourself in Chrome |
Keeping and deleting your data
On your device. You are in control:
- Delete any single capture from the Captures page
- Delete every capture at once from Settings
- Set how many captures to keep; older ones are removed automatically, and pinned ones are never removed
- Uninstalling the extension removes everything it stored
With the payment service. If you have bought Premium, your email address and subscription record are held by the payment provider for as long as the subscription exists and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Cancelling stops future billing; you can request deletion of the remaining record once those obligations have passed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its processing, or to withdraw consent.
In practice, the only personal data that exists off your device is the email address attached to a Premium subscription. Everything else is on your own computer and under your direct control, and you can remove it at any time without asking anyone.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes. There is no advertising, no data brokerage and no profiling. The only third party involved at all is the payment provider, which processes a purchase on our behalf and handles card details directly so that we never see them.
Children
Seamless is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it, and any change that affects what leaves your device will be described in the extension's release notes before it ships. A change of that kind would also require the extension's connection rules to be relaxed, which is visible in its manifest and reviewed by the Chrome Web Store.
