Privacy Policy

What the BoMoSi website collects, why, who else processes it, and how long it is kept.

This policy explains what information the BoMoSi website (bomosi.com) collects, why, who else processes it, and how long it is kept. BoMoSi's apps and browser extensions have their own privacy policies and store privacy labels, linked from each product page. This policy does not cover them.

Who we are

BoMoSi is the brand under which Vinod builds and publishes apps and tools, from Kerala, India. For questions about this policy or your information, use our contact form as described under Privacy requests below.

Information we collect

When you browse the site

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate: which pages are viewed, which product and store buttons are clicked, and where visits come from. We send page paths and titles, product names and button locations. Our site code filters out anything that looks like an email address or phone number before it is sent. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies (for example _ga) to distinguish visits, and Google uses your IP address to estimate approximate location. Google signals is turned off, and our Analytics property is not linked to any advertising account.
  • Hosting logs. Like most websites, our web host may record technical request details such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time. These logs are kept under our hosting provider's log settings.
  • Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device.

We do not have user accounts, and the site does not use advertising or remarketing tags.

When you use the contact form

The form asks for your name, a topic category, your message and, optionally, a phone number. When you submit it:

  • The details are emailed to our inbox and saved in a log file on our web server.
  • To block automated spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile loads from Cloudflare when you open the contact page. When you submit, our server sends Cloudflare the security token and your IP address to check the request.

We use contact details only to reply to you and handle your enquiry.

When you follow links to other services

Links to the App Store, Google Play, the Chrome Web Store, WhatsApp and social networks take you to services run by those companies. What they collect is covered by their own privacy policies.

How long we keep information

  • Google Analytics event data: 2 months for detailed event data, 14 months for user-level data (reset on new activity), per our Analytics settings. Aggregated reports may be kept longer.
  • Contact form messages (email and server log): no fixed period. Messages are kept until we delete them. You can ask us to delete yours (see Privacy requests).
  • Hosting logs: under our hosting provider's log settings.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers described above (Google Analytics, Cloudflare Turnstile, our web host and our email provider), so they can provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Privacy requests

To ask what information we hold about you, or to have it deleted, send a request through our contact form. We do not publish an email address.

  1. Open bomosi.com/contact.
  2. Enter your name and choose the category Other.
  3. Start your message with “Privacy request”. Say what you want: a copy of what we hold, or deletion. If it is about an earlier contact-form message, give its approximate date.
  4. Tell us how to reply. The form has no email field, so either fill in the optional phone field or write the email address you want us to reply to in your message. Anything you write is stored with your request, in the same way as other contact-form messages.
  5. Complete the security check and select Send message.

We may ask you for details that help us confirm the request comes from you before we act on it.

Because Google Analytics data is not linked to your name or contact details, we cannot look it up for an individual visitor. Detailed event data is deleted automatically under the retention settings above.

Tools we use to publish our own content

BoMoSi uses internal tools to plan and publish marketing content for its own products. These tools work with aggregated reports from Google Search Console and Google Analytics. They do not collect information from website visitors beyond those aggregate reports.

Pinterest integration (planned, not yet active)

We are setting up BoMoSi Publisher, an internal tool that will use the Pinterest API to publish and schedule Pins on BoMoSi's own Pinterest business account (BoMoSi Tech). We will update this section when it goes live. As planned:

  • Only BoMoSi's own account will connect, through Pinterest's standard sign-in (OAuth). No other Pinterest user can sign in to it.
  • It will create Pins on our own boards and read our own boards and the performance figures of our own Pins.
  • It will not request, store or share information about other Pinterest users.
  • Its access token will be stored in the macOS Keychain on the owner's computer, not on our website. Performance figures will be kept as aggregate numbers in our internal records.
  • We can revoke its access at any time in Pinterest's settings. When we stop using it, we will delete the stored token.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, including when the Pinterest integration goes live. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
